A bientôt!

My 90 year old mother has a small health problem (just back from hospital) and I will join her for a while, so I’m off to Sweden for a week or two – most probably disconnected from the blogging world!

I guess you are curious to see my old mother? You can see her on these two photos. On this first one, she is number two from the right, singing (or rather smiling), with her father on the violin and the oldest sister (100 years in November) at the piano. Below, you can see her on the left, listening to the radio, with her mother, two sisters and a brother. (They were 10 kids.)She has today more or less the same haircut (it was different in between); only the hairs are a bit greyer.

The photos must be from the early 20’s.

See you soon – and keep on blogging!

Being absent for some time, I thought I should give you some reading so I made six posts today, maybe one for each two days’ absence? So, if and when you have the time, please go downwards.

  1. All the best! Hope your mother recovers soon. 90 years, my father's age... but your aunt 100 is incredible isn't it! Hope you all will have a great party that day! Taking into account the family history, you have a great long future ahead of you. Enjoy! ;)
Thanks for the other posts. Great job! Look forward to seeing you back!

  4. Have a nice vacation and say hello to your mother. Abraham Lincoln sends his best wishes.

Gosh. My genes are not nearly as good as your genes. My relatives were gone in the late 70s and 80s. You got a ways to go Peter.

I enjoyed your photos of your family. Nice to see some things like the ear phones listening to the radio.

I am thinking about taking a break but staying home.

    See you when you return.

  8. You are doing the most important journey to your mom, I think. I send warm thoughts to both of you.
You are ½ year older than I am, but my mother has died already 1985.So many things stayed over asking or telling.
You can do it in correct way, I know that!
    With best wishes, Leena

My grandma lived to be 96 - and to the last day, she would not start on her dinner without a small shot of vodka!

Tu as une bien jolie famille, Peter

    A bientôt...
