Cannes Film Festival

My son and his wife dressed up and walked up the red carpet stairs during the Cannes Film Festival. The paparazzi were obviously not too interested, so they had to take their own photos. They saw the new Michael Moore film, SICKO.

Is that all it takes to walk the red carpet - get dolled up?
I think you're leaving something out...Do tell!

Regarding Sicko, this a movie made for americans and quite controversal as Cuba is represented as the wealthy country.
For sure the private insurance system in the US compare to the French one is crap. I believe this Cuba moment was too much as most of the people (and especially US ones) as a propaganda. Comparison with Canada, UK and France was enough. Too bad as this movie is really showing medical issue in the US, bit caricatural, but for sure, I don't want to become sick in US.
Vive La France !!!
On the other hand, I cannot criticise s/o as Michael and I, we were born the same day (but not the same year...)

In addition, point is not that paparazzi were not shooting us. But we did not give authorisation to the photographers to be published...
Next time we will take a picture when we will leave the limo !

Thanks for the reportage

Peter...how on earth did you manage to get into Cannes?!!! Fantastic! Great shot of Michael Moore...he's a big guy!! Shame the image couldn't be enlarged.

I guess you should not come to Cannes only for this and hope to walk up the stairs without an invitation card. But who knows, maybe you would succeed. You look like a "star" on the photo!

seda:
Happy to see you back on your pwn blog and commenting on mine.

patrick:
Appreciate your modesty.

Thanks for your comments on the film. Yes, I believe that we are quite lucky when it comes to healthcare in France. Of course we pay for it, indirectly, but when needed we normally get very good "service" and then for very modest direct costs.

I wasn't there. Patrick, my son, and his wife were the lucky ones. Patrick took the Michael Moore shot. I don't know why this photo cannot be enlargened, the other ones can be and I used the same "technique " for all of them. I could try to put it on my photo blog and see if it works better.

I think its a programme error with Google Bogger as sometimes when I download multiple pictures on the same day...some cannot be enlargened. It only happens when you have two or more pics...and not always. Very strange!

I believe that the software recognises M. Moore and assumes that it is not necessary to enlarge him...

patrick:

Fortunately the software did not recognise your name.

And this was the end of my comments on your blog...

I'm glad to read what Patrick wrote, because I haven't heard about the new MM movie. His comment about him being large enough is funny!

MM is from 45 minutes away, in Flint, MI. But I've never seen him. I guess you have to go to France to do that.
