Spring?

I will once more delay my additional post about the Jardin du Ranelagh. I felt that I just had to show you what the spring looked like in ”my” park (Square des Batignolles) yesterday. It seems that as well the trees as the flowers and the people (and maybe also the birds) had decided that the spring is here. However, we are only in the first half of February and the winter may be back. Anyhow we have had some fantastic days.Wisely enough, the orange tree was still inside the small orangery and the banana tree had kept its winter clothes.

Oh, it looks as though the spring would be there already! Lovely colours!

Tulips push also up from the ground in Finland, so we are early with spring -but the winter can come back any time.

I can`t believe that!!!
We can get this kind photos after 2½ - 3 months.
Now I am a little jealous, but thanks anyway for those wonderful spring messengers :)

Nice spring flowers. I like the color. Also. Never saw leaves kept like this before. Good ideas.

That is very astonishing. There are even more signs of spring in Paris than in Cologne. The daffodils aren't blossoming yet. It's far too early. -
But a friend of mine said, her dog is losing winter hair, that may mean: no hard winterdays any more.
'Your' park looks wonderful.

Bonjour Peter,

Superbe!!

Spring is fantastic even if it only sputters in at first before washing away winter. I've started to notice it here also but it's not as pronounced as in your park. Beautiful photos once again, Peter!

So, the spring may be early also in Finland! Let's hope so for you; you are not a snow lover if I have understood things correctly.

lyliane:

Peter said...

alice:
C'est clair! On profite quand on peut!

hpy:
Donc, Lyliane a dit vrai!

Oh...daffodils and WARM weather ~ I am so jealous! Here in Madison we have set a new record for snowiest winter ever, with about 78 inches so far this season, and more coming down right now. We are definitely ready for spring here!

(Pics from last week's blizzard - 13.3 inches of snow in one day! - posted on my blog.)

If I compare Paris with Düsseldorf (not far from Cologne) where I spent a lot of time the last years, I believe there may be about two weeks' difference. Just a little patience!

mathilde:

jessica:
Well, it's certainly "too" early here! Not quite normal!

That's one of the things missing in the perpetual sunshine state that is Florida - those early signs of spring...
Enjoyed your photos immensely!
